Fishery Reports from around the waters for 2009
| Pre Season Report |
|
The new season starts – as always – on 15th March. The water is in very good heart and with around 4,000 fish left in last year to over winter, along with our usual heavy pre season stocking, the fishing should be very interesting indeed.
Best early season tactics are to fish the margins – especially along the North Bank. Bank anglers usually do particularly well early season.
Best Flies? the Ace of Spades and Jimmy Simpson, the loch manager, reckons Black and Green Tadpole blob combination is unbeatable. Best lines would be slow sink; midge or ghost tip. The nymph and buzzer specialists will have their own ideas and will normally catch plenty of fish.
This season we ask all anglers to pay particular attention the catch (and catch and release) limits. We will be watching and persistent offenders will be firmly dealt with.
We would like to wish all our anglers – regulars and new comers – “TIGHT LINES” for the new season
